Sainsbury’s is like the Wal-Mart of England except with classier folk. This location was about a block from my company apartment and I know for fact I went here more than anywhere else in England! Sad, I know. Now seeing as this is an amped up Wal-Mart, you can safely assume they have anything and everything here. I bought many groceries here, but they also had clothes, adapters for my tourist self, makeup and personal care items, liquor, magazines & books, tons of electronics and related items, home goods items, baby items, gifts & the cards to go with them, and toys. Plus I saw offers of cell phones & plans at checkout, seems they also have check cashing and other currency services. I personally used their ATM located just outside the doors millions of times to get some dinero. I found all the prices to be reasonable and workers were always quite friendly to me. They have a nice self checkout! Definitely my go to shopping spot while in Milton Keynes and I know I’ll have many more visits when I return later this year. Sainsburys is a very large store and usually has everything that’s needed.(Apart from my Paté, I have to go to Tesco for that) I particularly enjoy browsing through their clothes, they have a great summer dress collection, with the odd item half price. I usually can’t help myself. However I ordered groceries to be delivered for tomorrow and the order was cancelled for no apparent reason, with the email being sparse, and owning print screened proof that I had confirmed my order. I am yet to hear from customer services. Disappointing, as the last delivery man was pleasant and made it easy(With the exception of crisps being already opened) I’ll continue shopping at Sainsburys occasionally, but it’s not a first choice. After all, £6.75 for orders under £40? I’ve seen delivery for £3 with other supermarkets.

Milton Keynes Sainsburys is in a new location and all I can is it was about time to. The old store was showing its age. This store is bigger, brighter and a pleasure to shop in. Parking is situated underneath the store — there appears to be plenty but it can get congested under there. The store has a large clothing and homeware section — including electrical and music. We then get onto the food — there is a fresh fish counter, a hot chicken counter, curry counter and a delicatessen to name but a few. Although the shop is large is doesn’t seem to take as long to get around as some of the other large supermarkets in the town. There are lots of self scan tills and plenty of normal tills to help you get your shopping quickly.
