Ann’s Pantry is a bit of a rare find in Anglesey. A really cute, local coffee shop serving fabulous loose leaf teas, quality coffee and really delicious home made cakes. My boyfriend and I came here twice in one day, when the weather was really too stormy to get out and walk. It was a bit of a challenge to get from the car to the door with the gale force winds, but the open fire and friendly staff offered a welcome reprieve. In the morning, we sat with our books for about an hour, nursing a cuppa, listening to the eclectic mix of world music and chatting to the locals, getting tips on where to visit and walk in this treacherous weather. We popped back in later that afternoon for a second drink and a slice of carrot cake — the cake was so good we very nearly ordered a second slice, but knowing that we were out for a big meal in the evening, common sense prevailed! They also do evening meals but they were only open for the latter half of the week during our stay so we didn’t get chance to try it. If we visit again in high season, this will definitely be top of my list for a tasty home cooked meal, it is walking distance from our cottage in Moelfre as well which is a definite bonus.
