Absolutley disgusting! Went to Morpeth Tandoori on Thursday night. Didn’t fancy anything too spicy so ordered a royal chicken tikka massala, saag aloo, peshwari naan. My friend had the nentara chicken korma and an onion bhaji. I can honestly say this was the most disgusting indian food I’ve ever had! The meat itslef was cooked well enough but the sauces were absolutely awful. Watery, sugary slop is the best I could describe it. The naan was unbelievably sweet too. The two popadoms i ordered were soggy, definitely from the night before and kept in the fridge! We both threw our mains away and sat cursing the place all night. I don’t know how this place gets the 5 star reviews it does, probably as there’s not much choice in morpeth this is perhaps best of a bad bunch. Anyway, I won’t be going back. Solomons on the west road or Brighton tandoori on Brihton grove are miles ahead of this place and worth the drive. At least I won’t be chucking £30 in the bin.

A truly superb Indian takeaway. A huge and diverse selection of excellent dishes. Staff are always friendly and the food is always ready when they say it will be. Can’t suggest the food is healthy but it is very, very good.

I’ve been to hundreds of indian resteraunts from Morpeth to Dubai, and I’m confident that this is still the best Tika Mosalla you’ll find nationwide. The Tikka Korma is also very distinctive and perfect. If I could choose anywhere it would be Chantry. I’ve been buying meals from Abdul and his family for nearly 15 years.
