The addition of this Tesco Express has been an awesome one to the village of Carfin, and neighbouring New Stevenston. It has a cash-line outside of it, the first one in the area, and it’s actually pretty reliable, usually in working order and hasn’t been vandalised yet! The Tesco store itself is a good sized express, with about 5 or 6 aisles. It also sells flowers and gifts, which is a life saver if you need a last minute birthday card on the way to a party! The have a small bakery section, which sell the best croissants and maple pecan pastries I have ever tasted! They are gorgeous, and the smell makes your mouth water! There are plenty of staff on hand to help out, and they are always nice and chatty. There are three checkouts and two self serve points, which is great if you are in a hurry. The only thing I would say is that the alcohol is so expensive! Wines that you would get in Asda for £5 a bottle are about £7 or £8 in here, which I wouldn’t bother paying. Particularly handy, because it is open from 6am till 11pm.
