I have eaten at the jarna on a number of occasions and I have to say the food is very good indeed, good sized portions. The restaurant itself is nice and quirky, very much in the style of a 70’s Indian curry house. Service can be slow, but always friendly.

I have visited this Restuarant on several occasions and cannot fault their atmosphere, their service, despite being busy, and the food has always been fantastic. Best of all there is always plenty to eat, no small portions here. We took my parents there when they were visiting and they loved the booth we had, meant we could chat in private and have our own space in the busy Restuarant. Lovely place to eat. Highly recommended by us.

Quite possibly the worst service I have ever experienced, I eat out alot and I understand how hard it can be when it’s busy, when I phoned through for my takeaway I was told an hour wait which was ok as it was busy, 1 and a half hours later I was on the phone where I was basically laughed at and told they would knock a few pounds of the bill! I think it’s a disgrace and I went to Bombay night’s which took a mere ten minutes, its a quieter place but they know the meaning of good service!

I’ve never actually ‘eaten-​in’ at this restaurant but I’ve spent ages there waiting for takeaways so I feel like I’ve soaked up the atmosphere all the same.
It always seems to be busy (perhaps that’s why I always have to wait so long for my order!) and people seem to be having a good time, so what I’ve seen certainly doesn’t put me off the idea of going there for a meal.
The takeaway menu is extensive, and they’re happy to make changes to it to accommodate fussy customers which is great. The food itself is not bad — the portions are generous and packed with meat (although its not the most tender on the whole) and pretty tasty — good value. The major downside is that even when you phone through your order in advance, its never ready on time and you end up waiting around for ages (45 minutes is my record). Good food, but lousy service.
