Not as awesome as I expected, but nice food and friendly staff. Recommend if you have not been before.

What a shambles, I don’t see how anyone could find this joint any good at all! I decided to quench my thirst and grab a lite bite while driving past, the first mistake of many I’m afriad. I ordered a burger, and although big on size, it wasn’t big on flavour, it tasted like plastic. Others with me ordered hot dogs and the same complaint was said by them, those pesky americans must have had it in for me and my buddies that day. When my bill arrived even that was wrong, it was at least 10 queenheads over what it should have been. Suffice to say I won’t return to this hideous food chain, man cannot begin to tell the horrors of how it came back out the other end the day after

Ahhhhh boooo to the 1star review. I love OK Diners. My fav being the one on the way to Wales. See in England we don’t have proper diners so this little novelty of over saturated fat foods is amazing. The best thing they do is the pancakes with maple syrup and butter… nom nom nom nom nom nom nom I could eat them all day long. And there ARE salads on the menu if you aren;t in the mood for a Yankee Doodle Dandy Breakfast(or what ever its called) or anything else deep fried but what’s the point in going somewhere novelty like this and have a salad??? They do proper milkshakes with about 30 scoops of ice cream in them and they properly shake them in a metal shakers and bring them to you like this with a glass! Its just amazing, but you may need to fast when you return to reality as your waist size may have expanded! Oh and free coffee refills!

The previous reviewer(Monika) was quite right — not much in the way of fresh veg and health on the menu. But then again I’m not sure I would expect much in a restaurant emulating the fine cuisine of roadside USA. For my family we thought it was exactly what we were looking for. The service was very quick and polite despite being very busy.(look out for Saturday lunchtimes if you want a quiet bite). The food was prompt and well presented. Ok it wasn’t haute cuisine but very tasty. One thing I would recommend is the double chocolate top dollar shake. We all raved about it. Overall if you are travelling north on the A1 and fancy a tasty break in the style of a US diner then this is a good place. And far better than the usual ‘Little Chef’.

If we are heading north up the A1 we always plan to have a break here. Either just a drink or a meal you are always gauranteed good service and first class american fast food. The shakes are out of this world. there is a good kids menu which has 2 courses for a good price. The toilets have always been clean on my visits(another plus)

Not ok. I felt defiled after coming to this restaurant. Yet another menu filled with fried foods and milkshakes. This restaurant offers«American food»(done badly) and has a definite lack of fruit and vegetable. They also offer traditional British foods like blood pudding which looked like a big piece of charcoal. I did not partake in trying this delicacy but I was told that it had a very distinctive flavor.

Fabulous retro-styled American roadside diner. They serve what must be the biggest burgers I’ve ever seen! Everytime I drive past the place seems to be busy(which reflects my visits as well). If you’re heading south and can wait a few miles, there’s two more OK Diners just south of Colsterworth(near Grantham) and near Stamford(take the first exit and go back under the A1 towards the northbound).

A shinny road side diner, despite it being by the road and for travellers, be prepared to take sometime, as service is relaxed and the food seems to come freshly cooked. The first thing you’ll notice on entering is the 50/60’s music and a sign saying wait to be seated and a lovely old fashioned test your personality machine. What can I say they do burgers, wraps, hot dogs, chilli and all day US breakfasts. I had my first ever Chilli Cheese Dog, which is a hot dog with chilli con carne on it and I said hold the cheese, he didn’t look offended and I got a excellent meal not ruined by the devil which is cheese and I loved it. Others with me had Wraps and Hot Dogs none of us had any complains about the food, but we did find ourselves wanting to get on with our journey.
