Tynemouth market is going from strength to strength! there are more and more quality stalls selling high end jewellery etc at low low prices, and of course the fabulous antique bargains. Il forno restaurant is great for lunch, especially on sunday, and if you find elizabeth and oliver’s cake stall you must try the local carrot and walnut cake. This market was getting very tired but the new management seems to be getting things right! 10⁄10

An old victorian station holds the market — on a saturday it is general antiques bruc a brac and once a month a farmers market On a sunday there is also book fair a great place to pick up rare books, This market has everthing from a guy selling war memrobillia to a women who makes dolls house, a person selling vintage clothes and a guy who makes second hand furniture look fabolous again. There is a guy who sells old cameras and a women who makes gothic clothing and there are several sellers who sell gerneral vintage ornaments and general bric a brac. There is a lovely café to go and have something to eat in and it also sells burgers and soup outside. You can spend a few pound or a few hundred here but you usually come away with a bargain Parking is a little more diffucult now as you can park next to the metro but not up the residents street as they have made it permit only at a weekend but there are plenty of buses or of course the metor

Tynemouth metro station is a beautiful Victorian building which provides the perfect venue for the excellent flea market. Held every Saturday and Sunday it includes many stalls selling a variety of interesting items for extremely cheap. Perfect to get some old books or clothes or some sweets for the metro journey!

My mother in law swears by this place, not my cup of tea, but the bargains to be ahd are great if you have an eye for these things. Good for picking up traditional items at good prices.

This is held in Tynemouth metro station every Sunday. This is one of those rare shops that offer such a staggering amount of choice that it’s impossible to choose what you want.

This is held in Tynemouth metro station every Sunday. Its very easy to acsess both by car and metro(its just as you step off the train). Parking is limited but iv allways found a space. The stalls are roughly the same every week, selling a range of new goods from handmade cards, local prints, handmade gifts and painting. It also has a car boot style area where people sell there old junk and also many antique stalls. There arent many food and drink stalls, but there is a lady who sells fresh homemade samosa’s which are lush. There is also a stall selling tes/coffee and cake.
