The old Sainsburys heaton was knocked down a few years ago and replaced by a ultra modern new bright and airy store. The store is massive is nice and bright and airy and cool its quite refreshing as most supermarkets are cramped and stuffy and lacking natural light. There is a nice café on the 1st floor accessable by stairs or lift/Elevator which is good for disabled customers. The café is bright and airy just like the store and toliets are on the first floor also there is toilets via the tills on the exit downstairs. The prices are just like any sainsburys store quite expensive but good quality compared to other supermarkets.

This new(ish) Sainsbury’s Local should not be relied on. It is just a bit small, which means that it never seems to have whatever you go in looking for. Unless you just want a bottle of wine of loaf of bread and you are not fussed as to the details. The fruit is veg is especially limited, and the meat range is not much better. It’s a handy location, in a city where the only other city centre supermarket type shop is Marks and Spencer’s. But they’ve not really made the most of it.
