Really sad to see this place empty when I went last week. Even the furnishings were gone. Nothing up to say they had moved so must assume they are yet another victim of the credit crunch. At this rate, Newcastle will lose some of its best eating and drinking places

Everybody I know loves this place! Admittedly, everyone I know loves tea, which does help. Tea is the speciality, and if you’re sick of americanos, lattes, and mochas discover this place. Of course, they also do coffees, smoothies, hot chocolates — all delicious. As far as savoury food goes, the paninis beat all the big chain coffee shops and the soup is the best in town(especialy the leak and potato). And the cakethe cake! Generous portions, interesting types(try the ricotta and raspberry cake), and so much choice you cannot visit the place often enough. The location is very central, just around the corner from Monument. Give it a go. Ignore the Ikea looking furnishings(it’s surprisingly comfortable). Introduce it to a friend.
