Robin Hill is another thing from my Isle of wight childhood, it’s a fantastic adventure park and gardens situated in Newport. I would highly suggest anyone visit, is especially good for kids and family and well priced.

Great day out, kids loved it and there was also plenty to do for older kids, like Archery and Rafting. Good Fun for all.

A fun place for all the family, lots of rides for the kids and adults alike, great little cafeteria. Wildlife and falconery on display. Wonderful open vistas of the countryside, be warned this place is very big so may exhaust you walking round.

I have such fond memories of Robin Hill as a child. It had an almost exotic quality, with the animals, and the adventure park facilities. The dozens of wallabies would hop right up to you as you bought snacks in the café, and then trundled around.
Having been back recently though I was very disappointed, most of the animals and elements that were the most fun seem to have been removed, and replaced with very little. It seems like a bit of a shell of it’s former self. The hilly fields are not a fraction as entertaining as they once were.
Robin Hill is in dire need of a massive overhaul, to create a new purpose for visiting for a new generation rather than languishing on past laurels.
