Pit Stop Pizza

Well now this place really is a fish & chip nirvana (it also sells pizzas, burgers and so on but I wouldn’t be interested). I really cannot recall when I’ve had better. I opted for the cod and I could have had haddock or scampi. Seriously the fish & chip meal is fantastic. A fish & chip is about £5 take out or sit in. Put it another way; £5 was the Sunday lunch surcharge to get a sirloin steak at Maisons 12 miles away. We had fish & chips in Rick Steins Padstow fish & chip place just a few weeks ago, which cost almost twice the price and not nearly as good a portion of food. The Pit Stop is located in the town centre on a hill and you would easily drive by it without paying much if any attention to it. They have posters on the window advertising their prize winning fish & chips. There’s not much parking around it either. Staff are friendly, you can use a credit card and the speed of service is fairly good, but with fish & chips this super good you could forgive a lot! One bummer though while a bread roll was offered they had no bread and butter, but I forgive them. I will certainly return soonest.
