Bruno’s Restaurant

You will know from my previous review of Brunos that I really do love this place. As a final supper to finish off my week in the North East my parents treated me to a meal in our favourite place!
We had been out walking all day — or in my case shall I say dragging my feet and hungover self through Corbridge. Arriving for an early seating we were shown to a corner table just inside.
We ordered some white wine and on the barman’s recommendation he came over and suggested a cheaper bottle which was his personal favourite and said if we tried it and didn’t like he would drink it later on! All in good humour we loved the wine and continued on our decisions on the food…
I shared the arribatta mussels whereas my dad opted for a seafood platter for one which was huge! After mopping up the mussel sauce with some soft italian bread we all try tested some of the offerings from the seafood platter including; some pâté, fresh salmon and some crab –YUM!
For the main event I went for the Fillet al Pepe i.e. fillet steak in a gorgeous creamy peppercorn sauce. Arriving medium to rare with a smothering of sauce and side of chips and some vegetable to share I was back in steak heaven! I am never disappointed when I come here everything is spot on including the great service from all the staff!

I live near to London and eat out a lot. Whenever I visit family in Whitley Bay we always eat at Bruno’s. The food is always delicious, hot and plentiful. The service is very good and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to visit again.

this is a fantastically run restaurant with a great atmosphere for both children and adults, they are very good with kids and the menu is fantastic. shocked at the other review as i have never had an issue with cleanliness and have also seen into the kitchens and they are as clean as any other establishment. Good place to go for fantastic food and a relaxed atmosphere

Lovely little family run restaurant. Food delicious and service very good. I have been back a few times now with both family and friends and none of us have been disappointed.

Seems like a nice place inside, but I’ve parked round the back and seen into the kitchens. Not a place I’d choose to go.
