Took the family there for a birthday lunch. Brilliant service and food, very hospitable and very affordable. Would highly recommend.

We go at least once a month and the fact that we keep on going back speaks volumes! Excellent food, some unusual dishes, helpful and friendly staff.

I haven’t been for years, only because I don’t go into town much and we have a great takeaway near us. However, in my clubbing days. this was an excellent venue and the chappies who work there always friendly and polite. They would always order a taxi for you if required. The food was always good.

Situated at the bottom of Bridge Street in the centre of Northampton, the Royal Bengal is perfectly situated to capture all of the business following the spill out from the bars and clubs on a Friday and Saturday night. That said, if you can get in there before the inebriated clients arrive then it is a good place to eat some well priced and tasty curry. They have recently renovated the restaurant completely thus removing it from it’s old shackles as a ‘typical Indian restaurant’ with garish wallpaper and carpets. In their place now is a subtle and trendy décor scheme that lends itself well to a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food very good.

this restaurant is situated at the bottom of bridge street, which is a very popular destination for the 18 – 25 year olds on a thurs, fri & sat night, so if you’re planning a meal out after 9−10pm i wouldn’t head here
the food’s good, service is also good, priced very reasonably
but they do get a high proportion of binge drinkers later on. add to that, the hoards in the street later on (which are well policed) make for an uncomfortable enviroment when you leave
