The Fishpool Inn

Great food, bad services, we had reserved a table for 5pm and told we had to be gone for 7pm, we ordered at 5:15 and got the food at 6:15, it took us best part of an hour to eat and then we ordered deserts and it took 30 minutes to arrive, this meant that we were 45 minutes over the quoted time. The staff were rushing us alot by trying to take out plates away when we were trying to eat. Over all the service was awful but the food was brilliant.

So, where do I start? I booked a table for 33 (which I understand is a large party but not once was I told this wasn’t ok) for 1630 on 01/​01/​2016. We pre booked the mains as requested and arrived at 1615. We then waited until 1715 for our mains, bearing in mind over half of the 33 are children. I asked please can we have the children’s food first. We got the children’s food minus 6 pizzas but adults pizzas were coming out before the children’s???
Whilst one of the waitress staff was clearing the table, she said excuse me to my 5 yr old daughter. She clearly didn’t hear her and barged her out of the way!!! Disgusting behaviour to customers especially children!!!
Then at 1800 my husband ordered 5 children’s ice creams. 4 of which were a mixture of 2 flavours!!! Oh my goodness!!! After a few returned and a few wrong ones coming out we were told, sorry no chocolate ice cream so we gave you white chocolate??? :-/​one of my children finally got hers at 1827! Really??? Does this place not have desert staff???
The manager gave everyone 10% discount and said that’s all the owner was willing to do for us after a number of complaints!!!
Would I go back??? Don’t think so!!!
The food was lovely but service appalling which is a shame because this place is lovely!!! Get some decent staff I think!

Wonderful food, friendly, helpful staff, especially the Scottish lady. Visit soon. The food was wonderful, best burgers ever!

Fabulous Pub offering fantastic food, sumptuous surroundings and Cheshire atmosphere. If you are lucky, you may see Dog Training taking place!
Situated just near the Fishpool Caravan Site, which is very convenient for caravanners!
