Rating des Ortes: 3 Brixton, London, United Kingdom
We were staying nearby and were recommended it as a place to eat. For dinner, an excellent recommendation it was — the food was perfectly cooked, and presented really well. Compared to London prices, it was also excellent value. The only negative point about the food, well really about the restaurant service, is that our order was taken shortly before 9pm when they apparently stopped taking orders. We assumed we’d still be able to order dessert, and weren’t told otherwise, but it wasn’t possible when we’d finished our meal. I would also question the bar prices — not the beer, this is reasonably-priced. But for a rum and coke, we were charged about £3.50 for a single rum measure — not that bad — but on top of that about £2.60 for the coke, and as it was served in a short glass, was just a blast of coke. This was a bit irritating. Therefore, I would’ve given this four stars, but taking into account the bar experience, 3 stars I think is all I can give. If you visit, just keep an eye on your receipt.
