This John Lewis seems custom-fit for the location, which is a triangle-shaped building a stone’s throw from the Norwich Castle. They seem to carry everything that you would expect in a major department store. No cheap knock-offs here, it’s all name brands and it’s all expensive. Similar in theme to Macy’s or Dillard’s or Bloomingdale’s in the States, the John Lewis department store is carved up into various sections for menswear, ladieswear, boys, girls, housewares, electronics, jewelry, perfumes and more. Very good service, which is what you are paying for. The restaurant, cleverly called«The Place To Eat» also has higher end choices and it’s similarly delicious. At lunch time on a weekday, expect it to be mobbed.

I have been traipsed through here since I was little and so though it’s more of my parents thing, I have to agree you can’t beat JL on customer service. Good clothes and kitchen department, ooh and they do do the best crepes and milkshakes in Norwich. I will never forget the peach and vanilla.
