The Walcott Inn is a large, busy pub not far from the shore. It’s got a pub area with small tables(where children are not permitted), a dining room, and a lot of large tables outdoors(both of which do permit children). It gets a lot of families in for dinner; if the dining room is too noisy head for the pub or outside. It was certainly very busy — maybe a bit busier than I like — when we were there on a weekend evening in August. They’re justly known for their steak and kidney pie, and are in some good pub guides and guides for pubs with good food. They serve food until quite late, after 10pm. Typical Adnam’s ales for the area plus a guest or two.
