My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Lord Rosebery for two nights upon our arrival in Norwich. We were awaiting the arrival of our shipping container so that we could complete our international move into Norwich and we found the Lord Rosebery to be a pleasant place to stop — extremely friendly staff, a welcoming pub, great food at supper time, and a simple comfortable/clean room. We enjoyed two nice restful nights(the only small downside being that the downstairs B&B door sometimes slams closed so we were awakened when other guests left at 6:30 in the morning one of the mornings). If you stay in the B&B, you will check in at the pub where one of the helpful staff will be ready to help you. There is parking around the back specifically reserved for B&B guests. Accommodations are paid at check-in so the morning check out is a simple«self check out» style with a key drop box provided near the B&B door. Easy and hassle free. We were delighted to find that we had a choice between eating a simple complimentary continental hamper breakfast in our room or driving approx. 6 minutes to the local sister pub«The Blue Boar» to have a cooked breakfast — also complimentary. We opted for the latter and enjoyed a pleasant breakfast both mornings — once again attended to by friendly and helpful staff. Even if you are not in need of accommodations, this is a nice place to stop by for a drink or to have a delicious meal. They have only been serving food of a few weeks now — under the name«Oliver’s Bisto», but if our meals were any indication, this is the beginning of a popular local restaurant. We plan to go back for a meal again in the near future, but from our first visit we can vouch for the Beef Bourguignon, the Chicken/Asparagus linguine, and the Apple Crumble. Our compliments to the chef — yum! NB: The bistro does not currently serve food on Monday nights. Opening hours can be found here: *However, on Mondays the bar is still open for drinks and the friendly bartender will be happy to assist you in ordering a take-away meal if you’d like to eat on the premises.
