Looking for a mid-week, working stop over near Norwich. I got a great deal booking through . £30 a night inc B&B, so I wasn’t expecting much. What a find! A superb little coaching Inn with barrels of old world charm throughout. The bar and the restaurant offer a comprehensive selction of real ales and top notch pub food. The services is polite and friendly. But the biggest surprise was the room. I was expecting a single bed in a cramped corner but was offered a very tastefully decorated mini-suite with a very spacious and modern bathroom on the lower level and the huge double bedroom above in a renovated loft space. The only thing to let this place down is that at the time of writing, mobile phone & internet access is very poor and non-existant. If the hotel was to offer Wi-Fi to its mid-week working customers I think I could forgive the lack of mobile reception which is obviously beyond the hotel’s control. Highly recommended as both comfortable and affordable with great food and drink. Ideal weekend getaway.
