Pretty ordinary pub other than for the good range of real ales of a decent quality. other than that the pub is pretty unremarkable.

A lovely proper pub by the river serving many real ales. Unusual name, that vaguely appealed to me but I can imagine confusing a hungry carnivorous American. Went for Bure Gold from Woodfordes. I find their more commonly found Wherry bores me somewhat, but this Golden ale was really rather nice. Of hilarious note was another of the beers called Goatbusters, from the brewery Elgood!

Stone me. All the months that I’ve been travelling to Norwich and all I had to do was turn right out of the hotel rather than go straight on. Sat on the river(swans not shopping trolleys), ten guest ales on, two sixty a pint, free wifi and a back-street boozer vibe. Absolutely, totally blinding.

A nice pub along the river in Norwich, but a strange name. Especially since I didn’t see any ribs anywhere. It was nice and quiet with several open tables for a late night half on the way home. Amazingly, this pub has been here since the 14th century and a few of the original walls remain. They’ll be happy to share the history with you if you ask!
