Huuuge beer garden. the pub inside is quite tiny. getting served can be a bit of a hassle.

This place straddles the line between modern and traditional. The Grain beers, which are the draw, are on both cask and keg. The lighting is modern, the seating more old school. Nice range from the brewery, including some new ones. A little on the pricey side. Great music gets played. Friendly barwoman. Certainly a place worth checking out if you are crawling around the city.

Great beer garden in the summer. Unparalleled. Truly. In the winter though, when you go in, it feels a bit like their cross at you because there aren’t more of you and you haven’t always been there. Lovely pub but could do with being a teensy bit less up its own arse.

Could give it 5 stars for the sausage pie but seating not comfortable. The pie is hand made by the landlady and only £2 for a chunk ‘served’ in a paper bag with paper napkin. It was as light as a sponge cake! Couldn’t believe it was sossi pie. My German friend was pleased to see her fav red wine on sale and I had hot spiced organic apple juice — perfect for a January evening.(I chose not to have the rum). Nice simple décor and no TV, the background music was pleasant and not intrusive. Clean presentable toilets. Wide range of ages — but no ‘kids’ or ‘miserable old farts’ in sight

Was almost going to give this pub a five star still not sure why I have not. Grain brewery beers nicely kept, pub is cosy clean and yet has a modern feel. I think it might be a little posh for me :)

This pub has a lovely garden, the most tranquil setting for a slow pint. Amazing place for the summer months! Pub is of the Grain brewery and offers the full range of their beers. I had the mathmatically invalid 3.1.6. It was a nice beer, but not an amazing one.

I really like The Plough, they serve up beer from The Grain brewery, which are nice and manly ales with strong flavours. Add to that an interesting range of spirits(a nice choice range of whisky, some great rums and an all important mixed drinks list including the Best G&T in Norwich: D). The beer garden is deceptively big and well decorated, it has the feel of a mediterranean courtyard, the interior is more stark and wooden, Valhalla-esque with the fire roaring in Winter. The staff are great too, they’re always chatty and make you feel at home. It’s not your conventional comfy boozer, it’s a little smarter but I think it keeps the feel of the local.

Really liked it. Good location on St. Benedicts Street, good selection of everything, including amazing cider!
