This was my first experience of Yo Sushi! and it was a good one. Our server was very helpful and talked us through the ordering process, explaining the costs of each coloured sushi dish. Plied with a half decent Malbec we launched in and savoured the huge variety of freshly made sushi dishes on offer. Everything was good(Try the chocolate Mochi dessert). If you like sushi, this is recommended. It’s great fun and the gimmicky process of selecting and ordering food definitely makes me want to visit again.

Great friendly staff. I couldn’t make out who was the manager on duty or where they were exactly. We were there quite a while, sat for drinks for 15 – 20 min while we waited for a booth to open up. No problem at all, but the place wasn’t spotless, as a RAWFISH restaurant MUST be. My girlfriend even got some sauce on her jeans while stained that was left half dripping from the bar. The manager should be more present and have a well trained staff who even when the place is busy are all about cleaning and making sure their customers don’t bath in the spills of the customers before them. Straighten up a bit please Yo Sushi.

As a visitor to the UK and avid sushi lover, I was underwhelmed by YO! sushi. To some, it seemed like it was the only major sushi place to go to in the UK. Having been away from home(Australia) I was really craving sushi as I normally have it at least once every two weeks. I felt that they had tried too hard to make Japanese Sushi contemporary and in doing so Westernising the experienced. This was not true Japanese food, it was mainstream developed for a typical Western palette. I must just say, the décor looked fun and exciting with its bright orange signs and good for those who aren’t fussy, but a sushi fanatic like myself, it just wasn’t enough to convince me :(
