Popped in on a cold busy day to a warm, friendly,‘coffee smelly’ café. The coffee was lovely but didn’t try the food.
Only downside was the mess — it was towards the end of the day, but it’s important!

It’s always with great trepidation that I go to a new coffee shop with my sister. Why? Because she orders a dry cappucino and I’m never sure if they’ll serve her or send for the men in white coats. But never fear, in Atlas they just nodded and took our order, and I have to say it’s the best coffee I’ve had in Nottm in some time. With a lovely selection of cakes (I recommend the carrot cake) and an interesting sarnies and salad selection, I can recommend it, especially to anyone trying to escape the clinical Café Nero /​Starbucks chains. My only reservation is that they need to pay more attention to cleaning up around the coffee machine (it was a bit offputtingly messy).

Atlas does a great selection of sandwiches with some unusual combinations and ingredients. Everything is freshly made with quality ingredients and it really shows. Alongside the sandwiches they have good quality coffee and a selection of cakes. This place is usually pretty packed at lunchtime so you may need to get there early if you want to eat in. They also stock a small but good quality range of food including oils, sauces etc. Atlas has a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the staff are always very helpful so it’s a great place to grab a bit of lunch.
