This is a nice addition to the high street, especially as it’s independent and looks quite traditional, as if it’s been there for generations(it hasn’t). If you’re into your health foods, but Holland & Barrett just doesn’t do it for you, this is a nice little alternative. Lentils, tofu, beans, lactose-free, wheat-free, dried fruits… anything and everything you’d expect. I did go in once and speak to the vendor about lactose-free chocolate and other foodstuffs, but he looked puzzled, as if I’d asked for some of that ‘food-free’ food and pointed me in the direction of the allergy products, which was fine, but clearly he wasn’t terribly au fait with these things. PS it’s not just for the vegetarians and those with allergies… though I get the impression those are the only people that go in.
