I really like this place. It has an informal, relaxed feel with a more than adequate menu and wine list. They try to source local produce and prices are not too bad even without a special offer. It can get busy, so booking is best. I brought a friend from who has lived in Canada for the last 15 years and he was quite shocked at the quality/money ratio. He was expecting the sort of fare he used to get(and to be fair that you can still get!) He wasn’t very patient though! We had to wait a bit for the bill, but as I pointed out to him, we do still have some restaurants that are not ‘fast food’! xx

The Chesterfield in Bingham is a pub owned by the same people as The Manor House at Quorn and the The Griffins Head. They have marketed themselves as a Gastro Pub and do offer some nice food in pleasant surroundings. The menu is small but sufficient and the food is very nicely prepared. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is some good wine on offer, but it should be noted that there drink prices are very expensive. I believe they currently have an early bird menu on offer but I would recommend that you phone to check the terms before visiting. If you have a Gourmet Card you’ll be pleased to know that you can use it at this restaurant. Generally, I would recommend this as a place to eat. Also, on a Sunday they do a nice roast.
