For myself who is an avid back issue collector, Page 45 doesn’t tick all the boxes as they don’t stock back issues(but then who does any more?)but they are a friendly, knowledgeable staff and their award was well deserved. However don’t go in expecting a bargain, many times I’ve been and Marvel and DC has always been full price.

An absolutely fantastic comic shop, fulfilling all your geeky needs. A brilliant collection of serial style comics and collected graphic novels, staff members who are helpfull and pretty much always know what on earth you’re on about. With everything from your Marvels and DCs to your Indie faves and web comic releases they have it all. Most importantly of all there is an excellent selection of Neil Gaiman stuff and quite regularly art based things by Dave McKean. A must visit for any self respecting fan of comics and geek goods.(I also recommend joining their mailing list for monthly updates on new releases, which features reviews of all the best titles coming out or being re-released/re-packaged.)

Page 45 specialises in graphics novels and comics from around the world. The staff know absolutely everything about every graphic novel ever made and like to show it! The shop is divided into different areas for different styles of books, it stocks the usual Marvel and DC super hero stuff but also has the more realist stuff by the likes of Jeffrey Brown, John Porcellino and Ron Rege Jr as well as little hand made zines and some local talent. It is the only shop in Nottingham of its kind and is a compulsory visit if you are in the city centre. Its also only a few steps away from Selectadisc, Nottingham premium independent music shop. They also have Tove Jansen Moomin books which are amazing.
