One of the more comprehensive gyms in the Virgin Active chain. I can’t understand why it is rated so low. Has lots of treadmills, cross-​trainers, bikes, free-​weights and weight machines, decent large pool, kids/​aqua pool, individual steam rooms and saunas in changing rooms, crèche, café, PC zone, ladies-​only area, 3 large class rooms and a spin room.

What doesn’t Richard Branson own? Seriously?
The appallingly large Virgin gym is an eyesore and is conveniently located across from the only Hooters in the UK. Which by the way makes it a bit dodgy trying to get there without being hit by some idiot trying to get a bud light and an ass grab. Anyway I went with a friend for a one day free trial to see what this gym was all about, or what it wasn’t. The basic price, if you dint sign up for a 6 – 12 month membership, is about 65 GBP per month which is outrageous as they don’t provide towels, the male staff are orangutans, and you have to bring your own lock. Is this third grade cause I feel like I left my lunch at home.
