Wagamama is based in the central part of Nottingham city and it really is a fantastic place to eat. The service is great and the food is prepared freshly in an open kitchen. I had the Prawn Raisukaree which is a coconut flavoured dish with lots of vegetables and a mound of rice in the centre! It’s a great restaurant for families, as there is not a long wait for the food to come.

I love Japanese food, and I’ve always loved a good Wagamama’s bowl of ramen or delicious crispy squid starter. But not here. Not ever again. The staff are so rude, so unfriendly and do not know what they are doing 90% of the time. I’ve given this place a go about three times now and each time i’ve reprimanded myself for going again. The staff are untidy, scruffy, covered in make up or wearing these little man shorts and vests, then they lean all over the table dragging their hair through your food. The service is abysmal. I’ve gone an entire meal without a drink there before because they seemed to forget I’d even requested one… the worst thing? It wasn’t even busy! Chefs obviously differ from restaurant to restaurant so to expect the exact same quality food in the same chain in different parts of the country is ridiculous, but the standard of food is so average here I resent paying the bill at the end of the meal. Especially the ramen, its hot water with some ASDA value noodles in now. The Wagamamas in London outshine this one a million to one. I certainly will not be wasting my money here again!

Great! Busy, loud, chaotic, but fun. Huge range of rice dishes, noodle dishes, curry, fish, veggie, soups etc. etc. Can occasionally be slow service, usually because it’s busy. Dishes are all large, hot and filling, but can come at random intervals.

it was really really good. but the downside is its pricey for what it is. Noodles and rice cost pennies but your charging me a fiver? The family style seating is a bit odd as well, cramming everyone together should cut down on cost as well so why is it so expensive? I don’t know. I would go there again but if someone else was paying and THEY sat by someone else’s crying baby.

My first official meal in the UK was a bowl of wagamama ramen and chicken gyoza. Overal very tasty, especially the ramen ingredients. The fresh greens, shoots, and grilled fish and shrimp, all served in a clear broth. The portions were a little hurting and small for a combined 14GBP meal. After the conversion to CDN it came to $ 26 for a bowl of noodles and 4 gyozas: O It’s no Kintaro, but pretty good variation to the other unflavorful selection of pub food. The service was good considering they were expecting now tip. haha.
