This is probably the best curry restaurant in town, offering a contemporary style Indian cuisine. They have loads of choice as I’m slowly working my way through them all. Customer service is excellent, however I would recommend going there early on a week day as it can get rather crammed.

Nice atmosphere, nice presentation of food, and the food itself was fresh and tasty. My only gripe is the quantity for the price, but then again, quality is important so I would say it’s quite a decent meal :)

Looking at other reviews, I wonder if I went at the wrong time! First impressions were good. A nice, clean restaurant with friendly waiting staff. We ordered drinks and starters which were brought to us promptly. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. A waiter came over to take our main order. He could see that one of us(my son) was still reading the menu(because we had been given two menus between three of us) yet still expected us to make our order at the waiter’s convenience. He informed us that there is only one dish available for children. Personally, if they don’t want children in the restaurant, I would rather they just make it child-free rather than allow them but make it obvious that they are not really welcome. So, we ordered. The main meal was brought over before we had finished the starters. I felt rather rushed and that they were impatient for us to leave. We had booked the table and the restaurant wasn’t very busy so it wasn’t a matter of needing the table. My son was well-behaved too so it’s not as if having a child there would have been an issue. The food arrived. It looked absolutely revolting. The colours of the food were so obviously artificial. I realise that they want the food to look attractive but, personally, I found bright yellow raita, bright red, practically neon chutney and masala that looked like Crown could have made it actually put me off. The chicken in the curry was quite dry. The price was not too bad. Just over £30 for three of us. Two curries, one rice, some chips, a couple of poppadoms and three cokes. Could have been worse but it’s not that good considering that there is another Indian down the road where three people can have three courses plus drinks for around the same price. To be fair, it wasn’t the worst Indian I’ve had but it was by no means the best. I don’t think I will go there again.

First impressions are of a modern well decorated interior and a friendly welcome. The menu has all the standards with a couple of pages of things I’d never seen before. Tandoori mixed starter with 2 popadoms, lamb speciality dish and keema rice with a roti and a Cobra beer, all £23.50. Portion sizes are generous too and I left feeling I’d eaten enough. All in all an enjoyable experience They even have voucher(2 for 1) on voucher cloud. As an award winning restaurant it is above average but gets * as it should be better than usual recommended. X = You’ve gotta be kidding me XX = trying but not reaching the standard expected or advertised XXX = achieving the standards expected/advertised however high that might be XXXX = they’re doing something special here, above expected standards of service XXXXX = WOW! you gotta go here!

Agra Palace is a very modern laid out restaurant with very slippery floor(watch it girl’s if you are wearing heels on your shoes) could be dangerous. I have been to this restaurant twice and thoroughly enjoyed the food, but the noise was just a bit much for me. Because the place is relatively small, it was very noisy with everbody talking etc., but the staff were very helpful and friendly and welcoming. It is quite expensive, but good food, so I suppose for what you get, you cant moan. The menu is very extensive with a very good variety of indian cuisine.

Agra Palace in Nuneaton is a really nice Indian restaurant. The staff are lovely and the service is good, whenever we have eaten in we find them to be attentive and not too overbearing. They do a take away service, which is quick, and efficient, we live locally so we would choose Agra if we were to have an Indian takeaway and the quality is always really good. The restaurant is only quite small but it is busy all the time, which shows how popular it is. It is quite reasonably priced for an Indian restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to dine in or take away as good value for money and tasty eating! I also agree wholeheartedly with the last poster the naan bread is amazing!!!

The Best Indian restaurant in Nuneaton. I know it is, it’s even had awards that proves it,(as if my tastebuds could be mistaken.) It’s been redone a few years ago, but thank goodness the staff, cooks and management are always the same. The restaurant is always busy, it is a good idea to book. They do take away, not delivery. The décor is a more modern, reflects the presentation of the food and a more sophisticated clientele. The staff are welcoming, polite, the waiters have excellent manners(and a good memory.) The menu is interesting, the food is excellent. We are regular customers and have never been disappointed. Expect to pay around £15 for starters, main meal, side dish, breads and puddings or drinks. They serve kingfisher beer by the way. Another good point in my view. Highly recommended.
