The Derby Arms is a cute, cozy pub. It has rustic, classic old-​world charm and ambiance.
I came here for lunch with my boyfriend, as last get together with his family before we left back to America. We came on a weekday, and it was quite busy with pensioners and those having a pint on their lunch hour. It has a nice working class feel and traditional pub atmosphere with classic British dishes. It was exactly what I was looking for on one of our last days in England.
We all fit around a big table, next to the fireplace in an living room-​looking room.
They have cheap lunch deals. I think it was 2 lunches for £8. There’s plenty of deals and combos for various dates and times. There were also signs all over the pub for cool and interesting events at the pub. The pub trivia night would have been fun if we were still in town.
I had a hot mulled cider that was on tap! We also got an extra cold Guinness on tap. The drinks were good and the food was nice too, and the prices were even better.
