Bondgate Fisheries

Went there yesterday, had Fish & Chips £4, good portion and excellent taste, unlikely to get better!

I stopped in here the other day while in Otley, after deciding that this looked like the best of the many chippies in this little market town.
Another draw was the fact that it’s right next to Sainsbury’s, so you can park there and wander in — parking is not easy in Otley.
In we went, and, as neither me nor my mate were absolutely famished, we decided to go for the «lite bites» — basically a smaller portion of fish and chips for £2.20 (I think full sized fish and chips was about £3.50). We got a fairly adequately sized piece of fish (which, according to a sign, was freshly caught in the Adriatic sea) and, along with the chips, it made a hugely tasty meal that wasn’t quite a meal, if you know what I mean.
Good value, friendly guy behind the counter, and they certainly know how to make fish and chips — would definitely go again.
