I have had three take away meals from The Star of India and they have never tasted the same even though I order the same meal for myself and the wife every time. The food in general is average and not resturant quality. If I had to choose a local Indian resturant I would go to either choose Papadom in Ottery St Mary or the Taste of Bengal in Honiton the Taste of Bengal is superb if you book in advance ask for the Green Chicken Masalla which is not on the menu but one of the best currys they do ! *
