Cheap and nasty worker canteen Style décor, limited range of(cold) buffet food, VERY rude staff, charged £5!!! for hot water and a 10% service charge ONTOP of £15 per head for buffet? I dunno what the service charge justifies as I damn well served myself! Certainly a restaurant I won’t be coming back to and I don’t advise anyone else to either. Poor show. Doesn’t deserve even 1 star.

Cheap and cheerful. Yummy food. No atmosphere at all though. Great for office parties but for the love of God if you don’t like Kareoke avoid those sessions!!! Good friendly service

Not a pleasant place to eat. The food was okay — I’ve had far better even at a buffet — but the price was ridiculous! Buffet places are rarely good value as the average person can’t eat enough to justify the price but what annoyed me most about this was the service charge. This was automatically put on my bill. However the big issue with it was that all they did was bring me a diet coke. Hardly justifies a large charge!

A lot of us remember the Kings Arms and are grateful that at least they’ve kept a decent bar area available. I’ve had quite a few good lunches there — they’re cheap, decent and quickly served. The evening sessions can get fraught but these EAMAYL joints tend to get full of chavs. The place round the corner in S Parade is much better for takeaway and progressively for eat-in as they expand the number of tables.

I am surprised by the three very negative reviews. My family and I have always found the staff and service at the restaurant very helpful and friendly. The food is always fresh and tasty. It caters for many people’s tastes and has a good variety of food. When you are paying very reasonable prices for the meals it will not be posh but it is extremely well presented and good value for money. Especially with the rising costs of food and especially rice; and every size appetite is satisfied!

Let’s get this straight: this isn’t a nice, traditional, high-quality Chinese restaurant; it is a feeding ground. There’s a bar and a buffet style self service area. The staff are friendly but very keen to take your plate away and constantly ask you if you want more drinks. However, the food is plentiful and fills you up. It’s not the greatest quality, but there’s a good range and there are no catches; you can eat as much as you like. The price is surprisingly high for a restaurant of this genre this far out of town, so make sure you make it worth your while! There are puddings too, if you have room. It feels a bit rushed and a bit primitive as people elbow you out of the way to get to the food, but if you can put up with that, it will definitely do the job of filling you up and it certainly beats a take-away.
