#462 While checking out Cowley Road, I was ecstatic to find Jing Jing’s. I was so glad that I would be able to partake in my regular guilty pleasures, such as Shin Yum’s spicy noodles and canned jackfruit, while here in the UK. The owner of the place is sweet, usually spending her time on her laptop. Her daughter spends time in the store, as well, and she’s quite young. Already, I’ve dropped by twice and I’ll be sure to drop by plenty of times in the next couple of months. They have all sorts of spicy condiments(Sriracha, anybody?), canned goodies, dumplings, noodles, etc. You would be hard-pressed to find any Asian grocery item NOT stocked here.

A smallish store with a good range of oriental food. There is a reasonable selection of frozen fish and seafood(at better prices than some major supermarkets, but generally more expensive than Lung Wah Chong in the city centre). Different types of noodle, rice, soy sauce, bean sauces, oils, nuts, a small selection of veg, and soya milk drinks. You won’t get everything you need for cooking more obscure authentic food here, but you will do pretty well. There is a minimum purchase price to use a debit/credit card but this is fair enough.
