Went here 2 times this week (only because it was nearby) and was not very impressed. The fish is alright, but not great. The portion sizes are nice too, but i mean you’re paying about 6.50 pounds for fish and chips that are just ok. Oh and they charge 20P for every tiny package of tarter sauce!!!
Edit — Been back here a few times and the service has gotten much better.

Picked up some fish on the way back from a long day in London and I was surprised at how much better the quality was this time around. The fish was deliciously tender with a perfect batter-to-fish ratio. Steam poured out of each cut we made into the fish and it tasted so fresh. I couldn’t believe it came from the same place we got the cold, bread-y mess of yore. Alas, I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving this place a 5-star rating unless this delicious experience is replicated at least a second time in the future.

This is a great fish bar, myself and my family have been going here for years. The chips are great and we have never been disappointed! I find it not too badly priced considering it’s in a good area, and it’s usually quite busy especially on a friday night! The staff are very friendly and will laugh and joke with their regulars (which includes me!). There are quite a few mediterranean fish bars around Oxford and I think they are all owned by the same people. I’ve found good service and decent food in all the ones I’ve been to.
