#441 After arriving in Oxford on Tuesday, the boyfriend and I realized that one desk for the both of us was not going to bode well for the rest of the semester. So, we took a short walk from his place over to OCVA Furniture and browsed around in the large, open showroom. The place was filled mainly with bedroom furniture and dining tables, so there wasn’t much by the way of office desks. However, we tracked down to dining tables that had potential. After debating about height and sturdiness for several minutes, we decided that the larger of the two would work out well. Plus, it was only £15.00! The volunteer cashier that day was friendly and came over to write up a receipt. Then, we forked over the cash and he helped us carry it over to the exit, after which we made the short trip back to the house. I definitely recommend this place if you’re close or have a car because there are plenty of options to choose from, especially if you’re looking to spruce up the bedroom or kitchen. You might even get lucky and find yourself some quirky, mismatched chairs to pile around your dining table. Go secondhand before you purchase new!
