Conveniently located a few minutes walk from Univ, this grocery store has just about everything you can need except pharmacy items. The prices are not cheap but I don’t have a huge database for comparison. I like the fact that they installed self-check out stations which greatly speeds the process. They often have specials on beers and ales which brings down the prices a bit.

Sainsbury’s is a large branch, it doesn’t stock as many different ranges as the one at Heyford Hill, but it definitely has all the essentials, all reasonably priced. They do have good multi-buy of various thing sometimes. There are a lot of tills, and a few 10 items of less tills but it does still get really busy here with long queues. There staff are very friendly and helpful, if you ask them where something is they will show you, or if there are none of the shelf they will check in the stockroom for you. If you park at Westgate it is very handy to drop your shopping back at the car, if you are just getting a few essentials or doing your main shop.
