University club is a members-only club. My usual«after work hangout place». The bar gets really busy btw 6−7pm on Mon-Thurs night and the club is generally busy on Friday night or whenever there is an important football/cricket match on. So try avoid coming here during these hours. The curly fries(£3) with bacon and cheese(£0.75 extra for each) is one of best choice of «to-share» food at the club. Burger could be dry/over-cooked depend on luck. I tried their pork belly udon for the first time today. I was expecting udon in soup however this is udon with sauce. Definitely good flavour and nice pork belly. Tho it does start to get salty by the end. All in all I’d say still a great dish for value tho! Great portion size as well!

If you work for the university around the South Parks area then it’s a handy place to go for lunch. Lunchtime food is OK, usually a hot meat and a hot veggie main meal option with sandwiches, soup, salad, dessert and coffee also available. They also serve breakfast in the morning and food from the bar in the evening. An attractive view out over the cricket pitch and a good place to see sports events on the big screens in the evening.

besides spending many lunches here, i watched every single elimination match of the 2006 world cup here. solid place to eat, solid place to hang out, but definitely a weekday /day time only kind of affair.

The University Club is a facility akin to Student Unions at other universities, except that membership is limited to Graduate members of Oxford University, so large part of the student body is ineligible to join also. The club provides a variety of facilities including TV, newspapers, a pool table, bar, onsite gym, restaraunt, playing fields, 5 a side football pitch and even rooms which can be booked for overnight stays. Membership is free to current Oxford University graduates, though some of the facilities including the gym, 5 a side football and rooms need to be paid for. The rooms can be booked for guests as well, which is useful if you have someone visiting; rates are about £50 per night. Unfortunately parking is very limited around the area before 6.30pm, when you will need to pay per hour.
