This place is a little way out of the city centre(still within walking distance though) and can be difficult to find if you don’t know where to go. If you’ve never been to a Wilkinsons before, it is basically a bit of a bargain shop. They sell loads of toiletry type items, but you may find that the main supermarkets may be slightly cheaper. Where Wilkinsons really does well is in the home ware, kitchenware and diy sections where prices are really cheap. My OH buys all of his diy screws, nails and fixtures from here because they are so much cheaper than the likes of B&Q and Homebase.

Even cheaper than Woolworths but possibly not so cheerful. This place was the cheapest in Oxford for buying wire netting for making rabbit runs and whilst this may be a minority interest others will find the hardware section very useful. You can buy things like door hinges and paint without having to venture to one of the out of town DIY stores. They also do other stuff such as household goods and clothes and stationary but to be honest I’ve never paid them much notice. I’ve always been too loaded down with gardening or DIY stuff to browse for anything else.
