This is the worst place to eat in oxted.
We went in at 11.45am and placed our order within 5 minutes. At 12 .40 we had to go but our food had still not arrived. I went up to the counter to pay for our drinks and cancel the food and one of the 4 waiting staff opened the door to the kitchen and told the chef not to put the burgers on !!! They hadn’t even started our order after 55 minutes.
Several other diners were making comments about the time they had been waiting.
We should have known. This café ready has a reputation for a place not to go for lunch because they can not feed you within an hour.

This is really my favourite haunt in Oxted. I can never resist the full English breakfast but there is lots of other stuff like soups and so on. I like the coffee as well either filter or latte.

Good British menu made with local produce. I have found the food from there consistently good. Simple but very tasty food. Great for a weekend lunch. The menu is slightly pricy, but the good fresh food makes up for it.
