W M Morrison Supermarkets

Mangle’s review says mostly everything but just to add. .. there are recycling facilities just outside of the entrance to Morrisons — for all you green people out there!
I find most supermarkets daunting places but good customer service always helps with the shopping experience, especially if you want something that seems to be out of stock. .. just don’t expect to find it here. I have asked members of staff on various occasions for an item that isn’t on the shelf (although the price label was) and most of the time I am told that if it’s not there, they haven’t got it (the staff obviously have to be psychic to work in Morrisons, maybe it’s part of the job spec criteria!) only twice out of my many shopping trips there has the member of staff actually gone to have a look for me.
Also, make sure you have a pound coin for the trolley!

This is a large well laid out supermarket. There is an excellent fresh fish counter, with knowledgeable staff. The meat counter is equally good, and there is a deli counter too, where you can serve up your own salad from a good selection of things. Some great cheeses on offer, a large range of beers and wines, fresh bread, well stocked shelves. It appears that this supermarket is never as busy as Tesco’s down the road, and as I believe it is bigger, it’s easier to negotiate. There is a lottery terminal, and dry cleaning service! There is a café, with well priced food (the breakfast is good) Only two real drawbacks, the wait in the café is very long, especially when it’s busy, and there never seem to be many check-​out counters open, so you may end up in a queue! Other than that, huge car park, cash point machine and post box. Everything you need!
