Highland Health Store

I left with a smile on my face. I wasn’t in for long but Highland Health had just what I needed (raw cacao powder) and then some. I actually left with the powder, some healthy coconut bites, a meridian almond bar, some cinnamon flavoured raw chocolate and wild apple and cinnamon pukka tea, one I’d never come across before. It’s probably for the best that I didn’t spent too long in the shop; that would have been dangerous.
So whilst it was a fleeting, giddy visit, there’s already a place in my heart for Highland Health. There were all kinds of healthy goodies I’d never come across before, and it was all reasonably priced. I was expecting to have to pay quite a bit for the raw cacao powder but that wasn’t the case at all. The lovely lady who worked there sent me in the right direction and, when I asked, explained that there was no real difference in the quality of the two brands they offered, other than the fact that the one that was a little more expensive was in a tin rather than a packet. They were both the same quantity so I opted for the packet at £3.99. I appreciated the honesty and the resealable packet was fine by me.
Although it’s a small shop, the shelves are packed and brimming with all kinds of things to get any healthy foodie excited. I left happy with my purchases, and looking forward to my next Highland Health fix.
I didn’t visit their natural remedy store across the road this time round, but if you’re a fan of this shop, then it’d certainly be worth popping across for.

Tucked away on St Johns St Perth, is a the infamous ‘Highland Health Store’ a magnet for Health geek’s and the vegetarian/​vegan community. Herbal tea’s sit alongside natural remedy’s and holistic tinctures. From gluten free breads, to organic products, Highland Health store, is a mecca for those looking for those difficult to source products. Every time I visit, its like walking into an air of calm. Everything seems healthy or good for you, even down the more seductive chocolate delights. The staff are welcoming, always ready to help with any query. My favourite has to be Smoked Tofu, lovely added to a stir fry.
