Step through the doors and step back in time. One of the last remaining icons of Old Plymouth. Betjeman loved this building and it’s easy to see why. Yet the D of C as it’s known locally, has revamped regularly and is adept at meeting business as well as leisure needs. A lovely place for parties and wedding receptions and a great place to stay over if visiting the theatre or the Pavilions for a special occasion. The food-even for large parties-is surprisingly good-although there have been one or two ‘also ran’s in this department.
