Jake’s

Upstairs and Downstairs. Good Food, Good Menu. Good Price. Plenty of seating. Covered Seating outside but on Main street of Plymouth. No music upstairs. All in all. A nice large café. Links with the other Jake’s on Regent Street.

Saw ads for this place and pictures of the food looked great, so though would give it a try, please bear in mind that this is a review of my experience of the place only, others have had better! .
Ordered a big breakfast and tea, waited about half an hour for the breakfast which came out on a rather small plate, there is no way I’d have called big, one of each, sausage, bacon, egg, a few mushrooms which I hate and asked not to be put on my plate & dried up beans & half slice of fried bread, as it was supposed to be fresh cooked couldn’t understand why it was just Luke warm, food mediocre to say the least and charged £6+ for it inc tea!
To sum up, Service not great, food, not great either, cold and over priced!
would I recommend the place or go there again?, DEFINITELY NOT!!!
If you want a good hot big breakfast inc mug of steaming tea or coffee and toast, venture down Union St. To snack attack opposite Aldi, I guarantee you’ll get better value and quantity, you won’t be disappointed there!!!

A great place for breakfast or lunch. The staff are brilliant and the food is superb. A must if in the town.

great food and great service i love it. best value is the 8 iteam all day breakfast at 4.45 with a free hot drink

Always go there on a Sunday for something to takeaway for my lunch break. The staff bend over backwards to look after you.

Good café in a good location (not far from the market). Staff here are friendly and the food is good. You get value for money here.
There is a large amount of seating available and also toilets are located on site.
Serves slightly different food to the other jakes (which is mainly targeted at students.)

I love this place. In my opinon this is a typical café that has jumped into the future. jakes is really clean and tidy and serves good old english dishes such as breakfasts, fry ups, burgers, salads etc. The downstairs seating is small however there is more seats upstairs and some outside if the weather is right. The prices are what you would expect to pay anywhere and the portions are better and fresher.

Awesomeno words about it. Nothing is quite like a jakes for sunday breakfast. Morning Glory all the way!

Great place to stop after a night out and grab a cajun melt for the way home. Great range of food, pretty cheap and friendly staff.

Absolutely brilliant, brilliant food, brilliant people — staff are so friendly and the food is reasonably cheap and very good!
