I am very disappointed with my recent experience in the caffe. i came once two years ago for atea and scones and i gave the place 4 stars, i came back again with friends and we ordered cake, scones, soup and english breakfast. I had to update my review, the scones were terrible, the soup tasted like canned soup and the bread on the side was very dry. My friend who had the full breakfast thought the eggs needed more cooking. Its either that i overrated the place last time i came or the quality went down.

It was ok, only went once and I was disappointed. I was really in the mood for a nice crab sandwich and the Barbican was always the place to go for such a craving. Basically, the sandwich was short on crab, in fact it was more like a crab spread then the chunks of crabmeat I was expecting.
Service was good but with one lady doing the food preparation and serving the tables, the wait was a little excessive. I won’t be going back.
