The Ship Inn

This pub is all modern inside, but the outside area by the docks is a lot more pleasant! Its heated too!
The Proper Job ran out just as I arrived! And I was followed by a group, the leader of which proclaimed to his disciples that Proper Job was the second best beer in all the land… before, like mine, his face dropped (I never did find out what he thought was the best!). We all got bottles of it (which are stronger)…not wanting to give up on the dream!

Its one of those modernised pubs, food orientated. Real ale on tap thoigh though quality not great.

Nice pub. Nothing special. Odd selection of music, and only two ales on tap– they were Tribute and Tribute Extra at my visit, so not the end of the world. Excellent location though, the outside seats are 10 feet from the Barbican quay.

A meal at The Ship Inn in the village of Ugborough near Ivybridge is a most enjoyable experience. Parking is in the village square — if you are lucky! There are two large boards covering a whole range of choices which are all delicious. It is a quaint village pub with a lot of character and atmosphere, I would highly recommend it too my friends.

This is a pretty little pub situated on the banks of the river in the picturesque village of Noss Mayo on the outskirts of Plymouth. It has a huge free parking area although the majority of the spaces are situated in the actual harbour area so care must be taken to check the tide times before parking there as you may return to your car to find it under water, if this is the case you will have to return to the bar and order another drink and wait for the tide to turn!
The food and wines offered by this establishment are excellent so it is ALWAYS very busy and you may have to wait for a table although the seating area is spacious.
The staff are very friendly and although it can be a bit pricey it is well worth a visit.

Good pub situated by the river in the pretty village of Noss Mayo. Excellent outside area and nicely decorated interior. Good selection of food albeit slightly expensive. Friendly staff.
