Proper pub with good selection of well kept real beer. Thai restaurant upstairs. Often live music. Friendly and hospitable. Dodgy part of town and close to chav leisure complex just up the road.

This is a fantastic pub.
I could have stayed here for ages with all the ales they had, but as a busy drinker I had other pubs to see so made do with a couple of halves. The old pedantic was nice but the plymouth pride was the really good one. All brewed on site… I think… I mean it’s not like I checked round the back.
There are a couple of different rooms and as usual I prefered the more comfortable one without the pool table.

This pub is a really good pub if you want somewhere local to go — it feels homely and the staff are really friendly. Prices are fair to reflect the current market and there are always good bands every weekend. Well worth a visit as bands are varying with varying tastes and styles to cater for everyone.
