The firm did work to a paved patio at a property that I own, levelling a few pavings, raking out old mortar, sifting dirt contaminated gravel around the margin and repointing. Unfortunately the work was done very badly. The levelling was OK but the pointing was extremely soft, just pure sand in many places, and the sifting was not only ineffective but had recontaminated the portion IO had already cleaned myself. After one winter it was impossible to tell the work had even been done and the pointing was broken up and collapsed in many places. I have just completed the work of raking out all of their mortar, repointing and sifting the gravel myself. Unfortunately I gave them half of the money, on the understanding that they would come back and redo the work. They never did that and refused to answer the phone and ignored several phone messages and repeated e-mails. A complete waste of their time and my money.
