Rising Sun Inn

The Rising Sun Inn, Cwmavon Pontypool is an awesome traditional pub with a great restaurant serving home cooked food.
I recently visited with a group of 12 friends to celebrate a birthday so we had pre booked the table and already chosen our main courses and starters, which seems to be the norm these days and doesn’t bother me, everybody’s meals were delicious and definitely home cooked.
I had the lasagna and it was superb, really tasty and a large portion served with a hearty portion of chips and a fresh side salad.
The deserts were very nice!!! my raspberry roulade and ice cream was gorgeous.
Prices are very reasonable and the service is first class, so I highly recommend you visit for a nice evening out that wont break the bank!!!
