The Gartholwg lifelong learning centre in Church village is a new building and a new concept in education. Teaching subjects that are usually outside the normal educational institutions.
There are many courses for adults under arts and crafts these are to numerous to give full details but the new season April to July offers many interesting events and courses. For example the centre runs an IT course in desktop publishing, IT trouble shooting and Excel and many others free of charge. For the more advanced the centre runs a course on ECDL (European computer driving licence) Other subjects include creating posters. Also in the building is housed the local public library with the free use of computers and the internet There is a free car park quite often very full. But I have always managed to find a place.
